From the Saint-Bonnet-du-Gard fountain, take the GR 6 which will take you to the Pont du Gard. You can follow the remains of the aqueduct to Vers-Pont-du-Gard, known for its limestone rock, a building material that defies the ages.
Still leaving Pont du Gard, take the GR 63 and visit the medieval village of Castillon du Gard, perched on a limestone sandstone mound. The village has several architectural aspects: cobbled streets and gargoyles, the house of the ramparts…
